The water levels of the Lake can rise and fall depending on the Dam and time of year...

There are separate areas for kayaking...

Power Boats...

Fishing , and swimming.

But for camping, there are four distinct Campgrounds:

MAIN CAMPGROUND

(largest campground, most sites are pull-throughs, still the best for RV camping)

Because the park can be packed during hot weather, the Main Campground can also seem cramped, particularly in the tent camping spur (below). And if you get an unruly family next to you, you're stuck.

OSPREY CAMPGROUND

(tents only, most are walk-in sites; it is also the best camping in the Park)

ELK PLAIN CAMPGROUND

(best fishing access, poorest privacy; it is a small triangle surrounding a children's play area, and will not be attractive to all)

ROCKY POINT CAMPGROUND

(no tents, all have hookups, some road noise, lake access)
