How can someone like me, always looking for an oddity, resist a campground whose claim to fame is a ditch? The campsites more than make up for it:

The campsites are the best around -- spacious, private, and shaded.

The Group Camp

Natural Bridges Area

These are formed from collapsed lava tubes forming narrow rock bridges spanning 30' or more.

Guler Ice Caves

A 650' collapsed lava tube that traps heavy cold air, forming a series of stalactites, stalagmites, columns, fans, and boxworks.

Indian Heaven Wilderness

Consists of 20,782 acres of broad, forested plateau, with meadows straddling numerous volcanic peaks and at least 150 small lakes, ponds, and marshes.
