Maple Grove Hike-In/Boat-In

Directions from Mount Vernon

(for hikers)

• Travelling north on I-5 about 2 miles to Burlington.

• Exit east on Highway 20.

• Continue 24 miles (east) to Milepost 82/Baker Lake Highway/Forest Road 11. Turn left (north).

• Continue 13.3 miles north to Forest Road 1106 and turn right.

• Drive across the Baker Lake Dam to Forest Road 1107.

• Turn left and drive 0.5 miles to the parking lot and trailhead on the left.

• Hike 4 miles on Trail 610/Baker Lake Trail to the campground.

(for boaters)

• Instead of turning right on Forest Road 1106 and crossing the Baker Lake Dam, continue another 1.1 mile on Forest Road 11.

• Turn right on Forest Road 1118 toward Horseshoe Cove Campground.

• Continue for 2 miles to the Horseshoe Cove parking strip at the last right before the Lake.

• Maple Grove Boat-In Campground is across the Lake to the north. A small dock/boat launch is located there.
